Summary: Spike muses over Angel's wings [drabble].

Sometimes, late at night, Spike imagined that Angel had wings. They curled against his back in slumber, feather skittered across the bare skin of his shoulder.

They were beautiful, all silver and gray.

Spike could remember a time when he'd imagined them to be completely black. But since Angel's reunification with his long lost soul, they'd grown increasingly lighter.

But he harbored no illusion that Angel would ever be enveloped by down as white as the driven snow. Every child to play with paints knows that no matter how much white you mix in, you'll never get anything but gray.
