"God is in the rain." With that, Evey raised her hands, laughing, face upturned to catch the falling drops. And then...

The screen went black with a sharp click.

"Spike."

"Yeah Pet?" The blond's voice was too sugary sweet as he cooed in his lover's ear in a way he knew Angel found to be particularly annoying.

"I thought we had a deal. I don't bother you during your soaps and you don't bother me on movie night."

"But come on! God is in the rain? What kind of stupid line is that?"

"It's a good movie."

"When you're with me you don't need the rain to get to God, Peaches."

Angel couldn't help the short bark of laughter that passed his lips. "Do those pick up lines ever work?"

"On you?" Spike moved to straddle Angel's wide lap. "Every time."
